The UK’s Bush burst onto the charts and airwaves in 1994 with their hit-packed debut Sixteen Stone. That release spawned numerous FM alt staples, including “Comedown,” “Glycerin,” “Everything Zen,” and many more. Despite negative comparisons to Nirvana and other grunge bands, fans spoke with their purchasing power through music sales and ticket purchases.

Decades later, with countless tours, opening slots, headlining slots, and ten studio albums to their name, including their most recent release, I Beat Loneliness, the band, led by the indefatigable and charismatic British rockstar Gavin Rossdale, continues to tour, record, stand, and deliver.

Their support slot at Enormodome, The Enterprise Center, was a testament to their staying power, winning formula, and legacy of hits. Their 11-song set was tight and featured the hits fans want to hear, including “Everything Zen,” “Glycerine,” and closer, “Comedown.”

Bush may never be as indie as some of their peers, but that hardly matters. Success is its own success. The crowd keeps coming back, and there’s a good chance that Bush will be back in St. Louis either as a headliner or as an opener, and that gives many fans something more to look forward to.
